Hello and welcome to MeSign
MeSign was founded in 2013 by Michelle Teasdale, in the North East of England, to provide courses in BSL (British Sign Language), to students from Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and Durham. At present courses are taught from the MeSign Centre in The Robert Atkinson Centre, Thorntree Road, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees.
Training - Learn British Sign Language with our BSL courses
Our BSL levels 1, 2 and 3 courses are fully booked until Summer 2019, we are currently enrolling for Autumn/Winter 2019 and Spring/Summer 2020. Enrolment is open for those wishing to reserve their place now.
If you are interested in learning British Sign Language you can book your place on one of our forthcoming courses by clicking on the courses below or you can contact us directly using email@example.com or calling 07792010630 to speak with one of our admin team.
BSL Level 6
MeSign are currently in the process of planning a BSL Level 6 course, if this is something you are looking to achieve then please get in touch with us via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Introduction and refresher courses in BSL
If you are interested in learning BSL or have learnt BSL in the past and are feeling a little rusty we run ‘short courses’ in an ‘Introduction to BSL’ course and a ‘MeSign Refresher Course’. These courses are designed to allow students to try BSL before enrolling on one of our longer courses or to regain their confidence in using BSL either socially or as part of your job.
Our 121 tutorials are designed with you in mind. We work to your aims, whether thats fluency of fingerspelling, improving your use of non-manual features, exam preparation or catching up from missed class time - booking a 121 tutorial allows the focus to be solely on you. Available in either 30 minutes or 60 minutes.
MeSign can also provide people who are already confident and or fluent signers with access to Signature certified qualifications through Assessment Only options. We advise anyone who is interested in this option to book a ‘Meet & Greet’, so we can assess your signing prior to any BSL Examination or recommend a course of study.
If you represent an organisation looking to book multiple places on a BSL course, either to achieve qualifications in BSL or just to help raise your teams awareness and understanding of British Sign Language please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.
